About Us

Welcome to The Finance Library (FinLib)!

In an age where too much knowledge is available in finance, this website has been created to consolidate all the information in one place. The content on the website is available for free and without the need for registration or payment.

FinLib focuses mostly on the Indian markets, but some definitions are universal. There will be no stock recommendations or short-cuts on this website. Investors need to read and judge what fits their personality. We hope to achieve a well-informed audience and an educated investor class in India.

The website is broadly structured into 2 parts.

1. A Library that contains an explanation of all the finance terminologies used in India.

2. Posts that try to answer the most common questions of the investors.

It is difficult to force anyone to spend time getting educated about finance and investing. Investors need to convince themselves to dedicate some effort, to learn and re-learn the concepts, as the markets and economics change over the years. This site is a small effort to make sure that the investors never run out of content to read.

All authors on this website have at least a Post-Graduate degree in Finance. Some of the information on the pages could be incorrect or outdated, because the content on this website depends on the understanding and perception of the authors. Therefore, investors should always consult with certified advisors and experts before taking any decision.

Please read our Terms of use page carefully before using the text, images and other content from FinLib, in your personal projects.
